Clarification – Correction - Action

CLARIFICATION

Due to the inclusion of Tim’s email in the email I sent out Saturday evening, some people are not sure whether the rally at the SB Board of Supervisors is going to take place. I regret having caused any confusion but I have spoken with Tim and it was no surprise to find that we are all on the same page. The rally at the SB Supervisors meeting will take place this Tuesday, June 23.

SB Co. Moratorium, Freedom Festival & Marijuana Listed Carcinogenic Bogus

Hi Everyone,

Before I get to the party and the bogus controversy listing marijuana as a carcinogen, here is some very important late breaking news.

On Tuesday, June 23, the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors will be voting on two mmj issues. The first one will be to direct the SB Health Dept. to begin issuing the ID cards which will cost $166 and $83 for Medi-Cal patients. We support that.

Palm Springs Meet & Hemet Ban

Hi Everyone,

What a great meeting was held in Riverside yesterday - 87 people in attendance and just about everyone was enthusiastic about our program to get the Riverside and San Bernardino Counties to direct their Planning Departments to draft ordinances to allow for the operation of coops and collectives in the counties' unincorporated areas. Almost everyone's hands went up when we asked who would join in the program and from the number of names in the sign up book, it's looking good.

SB County Balks at Issuing MMJ ID Cards

Hi Everyone,

At today's San Bernardino Board of Supervisors meeting it was expected that the Board would direct the SB Public Health Dept. to implement the mmj ID card program. This did not come to pass. The Board did not say one word about their lawsuit going down in flames for the 4th and final time and what the County's response would be.

This is VERY disturbing. I wanted to find out just what was happening and made some phone calls.
Here's the sordid trail.

Next Step Exciting & Critical

Hi Everyone,

The desserts were fantastic and the meeting's accomplishments were equal to the desserts. We are full speed ahead to press our advantages now that the U.S. Supreme Court has ruled in our favor and local elected officials and law enforcement must now follow state law.

Victory Party & Planning the Offense on Friday, May 22

Hi Everyone,

For those of you who made it out to the SB Board of Supervisors meeting, you just how cathartic an experience it was. After all those times going there and knowing we were talking to a wall and getting absolutely nowhere, this time was different. After almost two years of patients being arrested, being refused the protections of the ID card and never ending court battles, the end had come and we were victorious and they knew it.

If you would like to see the meeting and what was said, you can see the video at:
